In these times of climate change, Covid-19 crisis and seeking a healthy life, beekeepers need a reliable tool in order to act based on timely, objective and measurable data; thus comes BeeLive. BeeLive constitutes a decision-making and social networking tool based on GNSS-enabled devices, satellite data and the contribution of a beekeepers ‘ community. This app may distinguish generations of beekeepers and bring apiculture to a new age, the age of smart beekeeping.

Improving anaphylaxis management with AAA alert using Galileo
Allerayde develops solutions for managing allergy. Following discussions with medics and patients using adrenaline autoinjectors, a question arose, how can unnecessary fatalities be prevented effectively? Less than 1 in 5 seek necessary back up after using adrenaline. To reduce the problem, AAA Alert (the first/only detachable/re-useable emergency communication/geo-positioning device) attached to the AI pen will automatically summon first responders with GNSS and GSM guidance.

An app that tracks the lane driving behaviour and implements a system of rewards
DRIVEonLANE is a platform based on Galileo that will monitor and award driving behaviour contributing to a real “Zero Vision” principle in the urban environment. It will be installed in car consoles tracking the lane driving behaviour and implement a system of rewards (gamification) providing benefits on the insurance policy. DRIVEonLANE monitors the driving behaviour at lanes level, such as: correct lane positioning, turn signal use, speed limit and non-aggressive driving behaviour.

Many suburban areas are underserved by public transport and lack feasible alternatives to private cars. RIDEAL bridges these “transit deserts” by providing a tool for stakeholders -public and private- to subsidize trips and user target groups with any given mobility service. RIDEAL is a micro-subsidy calculation engine that can be plugged on to any Mobility-as-a-Service or Transport Service Provider platform, and track trips leveraging Galileo-sourced location data. A robotic alternative to chemical herbicides for the weed control in railway tracks.
Supported by #Galileo, the Rover4RT project aims at developing a robotic alternative to chemical herbicides for the weed control in railway tracks. #MyGalileoSolution has enabled adding the positioning feature to the Rover4RT prototype system. Through GNSS/Galileo+AI+Vision, a database matching the weeds' locations can be created, enabling a selective dispension of the herbicide. In the long run, the system shall enable an alternative to glyphosate by non-chemical removal means (e.g. laser).

BitPet is an Augmented Reality (AR) multiplayer mobile game inspired by Pokémon Go and Tamagotchi. The player takes care of a virtual pet, whose health is linked to their step counter, and socialization with other pets in the shared AR world. The game improves the player’s physical health, and social well-being, as well as reducing the global carbon “pawprint”. The idea originates from professor of game technology, and founder of Kahoot!, Alf Inge Wang.

A solution idenitfying illegal logging
Sustainable forestry is hard to track and quantify, due to the sheer scale of the process. The repetitive and manual field work takes an enormous amount of time, which complicates tree-harvest planning and its associated compliance checks. Powered by Galileo's accuracy, we have built a software system that automates this process by applying novel AI algorithms on drone imagery and LiDAR data, reducing this process to minutes, rather than days.
